Become A Volunteer

Established in 1924, our volunteer program is an important part of the hospital’s heritage. Volunteers work in a variety of ways to achieve their mission, which is “to render service to the hospital and its patients, and assist the hospital in promoting the health and welfare of the community.”

Currently, 550 active volunteers working in 64 areas of the hospital and off-site locations have donated more than 608,682 hours of their time. Our volunteers have raised over $2.5 million for the hospital.

The Junior Volunteer interviews have been cancelled.

Kim Dina will be in touch as soon as possible.

We do apologize for the inconvenience.

Our Junior Volunteer Program is an opportunity for high school students to experience the inner workings of a hospital, while giving back to their community.  Our Junior Volunteers complete 100 hours of volunteer service between September
and May.  Applications are accepted once a year in May.

Volunteers serve in most areas in the hospital.

Examples of potential volunteer opportunities include:

  • Shuttle Drivers
  • Clerical reception and nursing staff support
  • Gift shop sales
  • Main lobby reception
  • Support for surgical patients and their families

You may contact a representative weekdays, from 8 am to 4 pm, by calling 909.920.4917.
